Sponsored by our pals at Dogfish Head, the 14th annual Extreme Beer Fest returns to rejoice brewers who push the boundaries of brewing.
It’s truly a folk festival and it really concludes after summer season is formally over. But because the world’s largest Volksfest, it is also the world’s largest beer competition and for many anyone is far and above the final word beer event on a bucket list. However, this 16-day pageant is not only reserved for beer fans, as it’s also a family-friendly event with amusement rides, parades and special occasions.
Past festivals have included Cisco Brewers, Harpoon Brewery, Jack’s Abby Brewing, and Wachusett Brewing. Another nice event is the Beer & Cider Festival, which takes place within the Fall and showcases over ninety san diego beer festival 2016 New England beers and ciders. To kick off Summer, Drink Craft Beer hosts the Boston Beer and BBQ Fest, which combines delicious native BBQ joints with local beers and cider.
The bottle and might labels are generally populated by odd but adorable cartoon characters. Interestingly, breweries that it seemed nobody had heard much about had very short or no strains as properly. This group of breweries included Marz Community Brewing from Chicago, Newburgh Brewing Company from New York, Proclamation Ale Company from Rhode Island, and TRVE Brewing Co from Denver. These were the hidden gems, but didn’t fairly seem to have the crowds I’d expect them to have. I had a horchata stout from Trophy Brewing out of Raleigh, North Carolina that was awesome.
